I'm not sure if this occurs in the straight world, but I'm super disgusted in the way men act in the gay realm.
Its astonishing how lonely some people can get and for some odd reason, if you're lonely enough, you feel justified to be disrespectful and shady.
You want nothing to do with him until he's in a relationship. You judge yourself against his new choice and if you deem yourself more appealing, you try your luck at him....why? Is it too much to ask that you respect the decision that he's made and let him be happy?
Gay men,
Stop being so damn trifling. Stop "stealing" each others boyfriends. Stop cheating on the good men that invest themselves into you. Stop being the poison that's destroying our integrity as a whole. Love someone and work on that love until it's everything that you dream about.
***this is not about me, It's something that a friend of mine is going through and I'm so over the attitudes that a lot of gay men when it comes to monogamy and commitment. Call me old fashioned, but cheating is still a BAD THING. It's not cute to flirt with someone else because you that it'll get a rise out of your boyfriend. Be good keepers of your lovers heart. Cherish the fact that you've made a connection with someone and stop being so damn self destructive. Love isn't easy, but its WORTH the fight. Try harder to make it work through maturity and honesty. If your relationship has reached it's end and is beyond repair, BE A MAN and tell the man you've been claiming to love. Treat each other better.***
